The Stanbic Bank in response to the disaster in the Volta and Eastern region donated about 35 bags filled with clothes, handbags, and shoes from the staff as well as 200,000 Ghana cedis to purchase specific items for the affected victims of the flood.
The President of the Ghana Red Cross Society while receiving this donation on behalf of the vulnerable was grateful and extremely happy for the humanitarian spirit shown by the Stanbic Bank. He hoped this was the beginning of a long-lasting collaboration between the two organizations.
The President of the Ghana Red Cross also assured the donors that the items we’ll get to the intended receivers and hoped this would impress upon other organizations to come out and help as well. He also promised that feedback on the impact of their donation to the beneficiaries would be reported back to them so they could see the several lives they had touched with this help given.
The Stanbic Bank was pleased to have been received by the Society and happy with the work done so far by the Ghana Red Cross. They promised another batch of items for these victims was imminent.
